RESTFUL RETREAT AMID A WOODY PALETTE
Like timber left to age gracefully, the design reveals itself in soft corners, filtered light, and the confidence of less.
A glimpse of this Muji-inspired home might evoke the scent of freshly cut timber and a sense of quietude more often found in the wild. Yet it sits firmly within the urban fabric of Tengah. Rooted in principles of simplicity and warmth, the design leans into a natural palette and a gentle shift in textures that carries through each space.
As sunlight streams generously across the flooring, shadows form around the built-in TV console, shaped in a curved L that also serves as a bench. Rounded corners and arched niches soften the geometry, while cane accents and off-white tones introduce a calm sense of depth.
Slowing Down, Being Present
Further in, the kitchen and dining zones deliver a down-to-earth ambience. The design approach keeps the mood grounded, reflecting an understated character and a quiet appreciation for design.
Throughout, there’s no emphasis on decoration for its own sake. What emerges instead is a meaningful story—one where every detail contributes to a home once seen as a simple dwelling, now reimagined for thoughtful living.
